The Plunder of the Pamlico

Folks, the 1st Annual Plunder of the Pamlico is this coming Saturday and everything is set for a great turnout. We hope everyone will make it out Friday for the Captain’s Meeting to register last minute. Come out and support the Boy Scouts and the East Carolina Council. The fishing has been outstanding lately with some excellent striper fishing, especially on topwater during the early mornings and during overcast conditions. The topwater bite has lasted all day on those severely cloudy days and the days where a light drizzle might keep the overly cautious angler inside in front of the tube. Some of the stripers have been pushing the 10-12 pound range. You could be the lucky angler who brings one of those home and takes down the prize categories. The speckled trout fishing has also been outstanding in all the creeks, including Broad, Upper Goose, Blount’s, Choco Bay, Durham’s, Bath, Mixon and all throughout the Pungo. Yes, I have heard good reports from most every creek in the river and have personally caught fish in Broad, Goose, and Durham’s. Come get in on the action because you might be in store for a day of great fishing and fun!
